Are you wondering are the Descendants at Disney World or Disneyland? While we were planning our trip to Disney World and Disneyland at Halloween our Descendant fanatic was keen to find out if she could meet the Descendants characters as part of a regular meet and greet or as one of the special character meet and greets during the Halloween parties but we had trouble finding all the information in one place. This guide aims to be your one stop Descendants guide for both the Disney World and Disneyland Parks.

Can you do a Descendants Meet and Greet?
Although the Descendants are some of the most popular characters from a Disney Channel movie, the disappointing news is that there is not a Descendants Meet and Greet at either Disneyland or Disney World currently as part of there regular meet and greet rota.
Are the Descendants in the Parade?
After meet and greets the best way to see some of your favourite characters at Disney is by watching the parade. And if you are lucky and wearing something related to your favourite character or even better have a child wearing the characters costume you stand a chance of getting a lovely interaction.
However neither of the current regular parades at Disneyland or Disney World feature any of the Descendant characters.
Are the Descendants at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party or the Oogie Boogie Bash
Being Villain kids – or V-K’s as they like to call themselves in the films, you would think that the Descendants would be a perfect fit for a meet and greet or at least getting a parade spot at the Disney Halloween Parties – it’s called Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party at Disney World and the Oogie Boogie Bash when held at California Adventure at Disneyland.
The Descendants in previous years have made an appearance at these parties – not as a meet and greet or in the parade or as part of the Descendants Dance Party or DescenDANCE Party as it was called. Unfortunately at 2022 there is no Descendants Dance Party this year as instead they are doing a Zombie and a Disney Junior Dance Party in its stead. Therefore currently you can’t even meet the Descendants at a Disney Halloween Event.
Note: If you are visiting during Halloween season at Disney World then it is important to remember that this is counted as Hurricane Season. Can you get a Descendants Makeover?
The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a must for children who love getting made up and dressed in costumes. But can you get a descendants makeover.
Unfortunately there is currently no Descendants options either at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or at The Pirates League. Back in 2019 at the Pirates League you could have had a Mal, Uma or Audrey makeover but it looks like this has been discontinued.
If you are traveling to Disney World however and your little one wants to get dressed up as one of the Descendants with a makeover you could look at an independent make over specialist. As many of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique cast members got laid off or furloughed in 2020, many set up independent ventures offering make over service in resort hotels and some of these do offer Descendants options so be sure to search them out if that is of interest.
Is there Descendants Merchandise in the Parks?
There used to be Descendants Merchandise in the parks however this seems to have become less of a thing. When I am in the parks next month I will search out Descendants Merchandise and update this section with what there was and where to find it.
I found no merchandise for the Descendants at Disneyland in April when we were there.
Are the Descendants at Disneyland Paris
Similarly to the parks in America, unfortunately there is no Descendants presence at Disneyland Paris either as a meet and greet, as part of the parade or even as part of the special Disneyland Paris Halloween Party.
Are the Descendants Likely to be at the parks in the future.
While Disney have made no announcements about bringing the Descendants characters back into the parks, and they usually don’t release the special Halloween meet and greet and dance party information until much closer to the time, there is a chance that the Descendants could be brought back in 2023 or 2024. This year they announced they are making a Descendants 4 movie, as hinted at at the end of the Descendants 3 movie. Descendants 4 will focus on the daughter on the Queen of Hearts.
