Being located on the southern end of the island it is perhaps the most conveniently located area for those on a short stay as it is easily reachable from the airport. Nusa Dua is home to a stretch of beautiful luxury hotels! From the Grand Hyatt to the Westin you are spoiled for choice of luxury hotels and all have private beaches and immaculate manicured grounds and pools!
While we were in Nusa Dua with family we stayed at the Grand Hyatt – the very definition of a Nusa Dua kid friendly hotels. The Grand Hyatt is located at the end of Nusa Dua closest to the shopping centre and off resorts restaurants. This meant that we could easily leave the resort and check out the shops very easily by foot even in the heat which was one benefit to staying at this property.
This property was exceptionally family friendly and has five pools on site (I must admit in our four days there we didn’t get to explore them all) making it in my opinion of of the best Nusa Dua family friendly hotels. One of the pools at the Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua also had a great slide area which the older children were going crazy for. There are also several great eateries with kids friendly food. My little girl particularly enjoyed the pool front Italian while I was very impressed with the on-site Indonesian restaurant.
We didn’t try it but I have been told that the Grand Hyatt has one of the best Nusa Dua Kids Club if this is something you are interested in using while you are in the area.
Overall if you are looking for a Nusa Dua kid friendly hotel this could be it!

A buffet style dinner theatre in the grounds of he Grand Hyatt! It was great to get to sample an array of local cuisine and watch a cultural performance at the same time!

Best Hotel Amenities in Nusa Dua for families
There are so many hotels in Nusa Dua for families to choose from and they all have amazing family amenities. If you are staying in Nusa Dua you are definitely going to want to take advantage of the amenities of the hotel! From pools to kids club make sure you get your monies worth! This is also one of the best things you can do in Nusa Dua with toddlers as even the fussiest of kids will be amused here.
Do a Family Friendly Photoshoot – one of the best things to do in Nusa Dua for families
While in Nusa Dua we did a family photo shoot with Wanderloud! It was a fantastic experience and the photos amazing on the white sand beaches! To often we go on vacation and never get a picture with the whole family in the same photo which is why we think doing a family photo shoot is one of the best things to do in Nusa Dua for families.

Hit the Beach
There is a lovely stretch of beach at Nusa Dua that is perfect for building sandcastles. However be warned Nusa Dua beach has some of the biggest waves on Bali so is an experienced surfers paradise only!
See the Water Blow Hole
Located very close to our hotel Grand Hyatt the water blow hole at Nusa Dua is one of the best things natural things to see in Nusa Dua.
If you are watching the blow hole at Nusa Dua with kids and especially toddlers and young children be sure you hold onto them tightly and stay back as the water can get quite high.
Go Shopping at the Bali Collection
Although not something I planned to do while in Bali but while we were there in January we got one day of trencial rain in Nusa Dua so we decided to hit the shopping mall know as the Bali Collection and actually we picked up some really great souvenirs here.

Is nusa dua with toddler a good vacation?
Yes Nusa Dua with a toddler is totally doable and actually a great vacation as we discovered. Most of the hotels will have specific toddler friendly amenities and food that can cater even for the fussiest toddler. The one piece of advice we would give anyone visiting Nusa Dua with toddlers in tow is bring your own supplies as nappies, formula etc. There are limited supplies in Nusa Dua and those we found were definitely more expensive than at home.
Where can I buy supplies for babies and toddlers in Nusa Dua?
There is a shopping complex at one end of nusa Dua with souvenir shops and restaurants. It also was well stocked when we were there with milk for those travelling with littles.
Is Nusa Dua worth visiting?
Nusa Dua isn’t the most cultural area to visit in Bali with kids. However if you want to relax on the beach and stay in a beautiful luxury hotel then Nusa Dua is worth visiting.
