Top Tips for What to Pack for Disneyland Paris
As Paris is so seasonal here are our top tips for what to pack for Disneyland Paris to help you alter your packing list to be most season appropriate;
Check the Weather before you go
It doesn’t matter whether you are visiting Disneyland Paris in summer or in visiting Disneyland Paris in December, be sure to check the weather before you go.
I have had great weather when visiting Disneyland Paris in October and terrible weather in summer at Disneyland Paris so don’t pack to far in advance and be sure to check the washer before you go.
Always prepare for rain
Whether you are visiting Disneyland Paris in August or Disneyland Paris in January there is always a chance of rain at Disneyland Paris. BE sure to have the appropriate supplies to make sure you are always prepared for the weather. For more information on visiting Disneyland Paris in the rain tips check out this post.
Always wear comfortable shoes
Whenever we go to Disneyland Paris – or even Disney Tokyo or Disneyland California we always rack up a hefty step count – never less than 20K steps. To fully enjoy your day you will want to be wearing your most comfortable shoes.
Bring layers
Whether you are there in August or November be sure to have plenty of layers. The evenings in Paris can get cool even in summer so be sure to have packed a layer for your evening in your day bag.
What to Wear to Disneyland Paris for any seasons
What you decide to wear to Disneyland Paris will largely be affected by what month you decide to visit. Being in Europe, you are not guaranteed the great weather that you have in Walt Disney World or Disneyland California.
This what to wear to Disneyland Paris guide includes all the staples that you should wear whatever ever the season but be sure to see our month by month guide for more specific seasonal information
Compact Waterproof
A compact waterproof that can fit inside of your backpack is perfect for whatever season you visit the parks. Rain can happen whenever you visit the parks so you should have one whenever you decide to visit.
Note – there are no water rides at Disneyland Paris where you will get soaked so this is just for rain.
Disney Ears
We always wear ears whenever we are in the park and it is much cheaper to buy them before you go. There are lots of options for ears online – click here for ear options beyond just the standard mouse here.
Disney Caps
There are many rides that have little or no shade in the queues. Be sure to pack a cap to make sure you don’t get burnt while waiting for your favourite attraction.

Comfortable Shoes – Sneakers / Trainers
If there is one essential for Disneyland Paris it is comfortable shoes. We recommend using sneakers or trainers but anything you feel comfortable in is fine. Every day we are at Disney we clock in over 20K steps so your best shoes for walking will be required.
Comfort is especially important when travelling toDisneyland Paris when pregnant – check out our dedicated post here.
Backpack
I always take a backpack into the parks with me. There are lots of things we recommend taking in your day pack for Disney. Our favourite backpacks for Disneyland are these lounge fly ones that have loads of different Disney themes.
This is one of my favourites

Swimwear
Ok this isn’t one for wearing in the park but if you are staying in one of the Disneyland Paris on site hotels with a pool you will want to be taking swimwear with you. The pools are lovely and a great way to cool down if you are visiting in Summer or just for some downtown away from the parks.
Costumes
If you are traveling to Disneyland with toddlers or young children chances are they will want to dress up. If they do we recommend buying the costumes in advance as they are much cheaper than buying them at the parks.

What to Wear in Disneyland Paris in Spring (April, May, June)
Disneyland Paris in Spring is one of my favourite times of year to visit. If you go outside of the school holidays the visitor numbers can be at the lower end and the weather is warming up. However if are are traveling to Disneyland Paris in Spring you will still be wanting to be a jacket and plenty of layers.
It can also be one of the more changeable times weather wise so you will want to give yourself plenty of options.
What to Wear in Disneyland Paris in Summer (July, August and September)
If you are visiting Disneyland Paris in the Summer you can expect some really hot days. Couple that with some of the largest crowds that Disneyland Paris experiences, it can be a hot and humid experience visiting in summer.
Be sure to wear lots of light and loose layers and fabrics and if you are visiting Disneyland Paris with toddlers and they want to wear costumes be sure to take them spare cooler clothes to change into.
Also be sure to take with you caps and sunglasses as some of the queues are very open with little shade and you don’t want to burn while waiting.
What to Wear in Disneyland Paris in Autumn / Fall
It is amazing how quickly the weather turns in Paris from Summer to Fall. As September moves into October the weather cools and you will definitely need lots of layers and a jacket especially if you want to see the parade and fireworks in the evening.
What to Wear in Disneyland Paris for Halloween
Dressing for Halloween at Disneyland Paris should follow all the rules of what to pack for Fall however you may want to theme your attire too.
Be aware that if you are over the age of 14 and travelling to Disneyland Paris then costumes are not to be permitted to be worn. If you are considering going for the Disneyland Paris season as an adult you may want to investigate your Disneybounding options which is where you pay homage to your favourite character through your clothes.
You can read more about Disneybounding and get inspiration for it here.
Alternatively you could get some halloween themed sweaters like the one below
What NOT to Wear to Disneyland Paris
While there are not lots of rules about what not to wear at Disneyland Paris I would say the following things I would avoid packing.
High Heels
High heels are a huge no no. Trainers or sneakers are definitely the most comfortable shoe for the park. Even if you are going to Disneyland Paris as a couple and are doing a grown up restaurant or experience from your Disneyland Paris Bucket list I would not bother packing heels.
Costumes
Perhaps the biggest no no for Disneyland Paris Packing lists are costumes for grown ups. No one over the age of 14 is permitted to wear a costume in the parks so do not pack a costume for adults or teenagers.
What to Pack for Disneyland Paris – non clothing
Now that we have discussed what to wear in Disneyland Paris it is time to turn our attention to what to pack for Disneyland Paris that isn’t clothes.
Power Pack
There are lots of Disneyland Paris apps you need to use ion the park for checking queue times to booking meet and greets. On top of that you will be taking loads of photos. Trust me your batteries are going to drain quick so be sure to pack a power pack with you to recharge those batteries.
Paris uses the traditional European plugs. So if you are coming from the UK etc you will need an adapter to make your electronics work in the hotel. Click here to purchase!
First Aid Kits
Though there are plenty of first aid stations around the park I recommend taking your own first aid kit with you just in case.
Medicines
If you are traveling with children there is a chance you may need Calpol or other medicine. There is no pharmacy at Disneyland Paris and you can’t get any at any of the Care Centres so unless you want to do a mad dash to Val d’Europe to get medicine I recommend taking some with you just in case.
Drinks in the park are expensive. Be sure to take a refillable water bottle with you to save money and the environment.
As I mentioned before there is little shade at the park in queues be sure you don’t get burnt by taking sun cream with you
Autograph Books
If your kids are anything like mine they will want to collect Disney character autographs. Be sure to buy your autograph books online in advance.
